BiographyCrusoe Kurddal lives and works in Maningrida, an Aboriginal settlement on the mouth of the Liverpool River on the coast of Central Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. He is well known as the sole inheritor of the rights to produce mimi figures, a right he inherited from his father, the late Crusoe Kuningbal.

Kurddal won the 2006 Indigenous Film Award for best actor as Ridjimiraril in 'Ten Canoes'. He also played an Aboriginal tracker in 'Australia', released in 2008.
