BiographyBorn in Blacktown, Western Sydney Adam Hill is a painter, photographer, cartoonist and classically trained Yidaki (Didgeridoo) player whose artwork is known for its contemporary urban style and social commentary.

Hill gained a Bachelor of Arts Graphic Design in 1994 from the University of Western Sydney, Nepean and he has been awarded the Mayors Choice Award, 2003; the Liverpool Council Award, 2004 and the Maria Locke Award, 2006 at the annual Mil-Pra Art Prize organised by the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. He also won the Blacktown City Art Prize in 2002 and was a finalist in the 2005 and 2006 Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize.
