BiographyEdy-Legrand, (real name Édouard Léon Louis Warschawsky), born in Bordeaux in 1892 and died in Bonnieux in 1970, is a French illustrator and painter. He began his career in advertising and book illustrations. His mother was French and his father was a Jewish Russian. In 1919, this young painter completed the first book for children published by NRF, “Macao and Cosmage, or the happy experience “ (“Macao et Cosmage ou l'expérience du Bonheur”).
