BiographyEstablished in 1795 the Hydrographic Office did not start publishing charts till 1800. Changes to the charts are made to the original copper plates. The number of the chart is at the bottom right hand corner. The Hydrographic Office is now known as the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office.
