BiographyThe production of the Schatz Clock began in 1881 in the Black Forest and 10 years later
August Schatz, the clockmaker, had the pleasure of assuming the title of Purveyor to the Grand Duke Frederick of Baden. Later on the marine clocks became a specialty. The Schatz instruments obtained their real fame in Scandinavia during the 1960s.
