BiographyBrenda L. Croft is a Gurindji/Malngin/Mudparra artist born in Perth, Western Australia. She became a founding member of the Boomalli Aboriginal Arts Cooperative in Chippendale, Sydney, in 1987, and acted as general manager until 1996.

In addition to being an active artist herself, Brenda L Croft is also a curator and arts administrator having worked at the Art Gallery of Western Australia and National Gallery of Australia and curating several festivals and biennales. In addition to lecturing at various tertiary institutions, Brenda L Croft is currently a senior research fellow at the University of New South Wales.

Brenda L Croft's work looks at the issues facing Aboriginal people today, an often very personal perspective on what it meant, and still means, to be Aboriginal and to grow up in Australia.
