BiographyFrederick Howard served on the survey vessel HERALD from 1857 and commanded the survey vessel BEATRICE until 1880. Commander Hutchison and Lieutenant Howard proceeded to the Northern Territory in April 1864 in the HMS BEATRICE. They were engaged in survey work associated with the SA Survey Party under B T Finniss at Escape Cliffs.
