BiographyIn late 1913 two small South Australian companies Gulf Steamship and West Coast Shipping merged to form Coast Steamships in an attempt to ward off Adelaide Steamship Company. The attempt failed, Coast Steamships was bought by Adelaide Steamships Company and operated as a subsidary from 1915 to 1966.
