Gustave Alaux

Gustave Louis Michel Alaux was born at Bordeaux, France in 1887 and trained under Marcel Baselet and Henri Royer. He began exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Francais in 1913 and was still exhibiting until 1942. He generally painted historical maritime and French colonial subjects.
