DescriptionThe Italian Sitmar liner CASTEL FELICE arrived at Melbourne November 12 1956 with 1,400 European migrantincluding 260 Danes, 512 Germans and 500 Maltese.HistoryWhen SITMAR won the Australian Government contract transport emigrants from Southampton to Australia in 1955 the CASTEL FELICE was won of the vessels. When SITMAR lost the contract in 1970 the CASTEL FELICE was scrapped.
