Daughter of Minpuru (Uta Uta Jangala's older brother) and Mitjili; sister of Ronnie Tjampitjinpa. Her famjily moved to Haasts Bluff in the 1950s and later to the newly formed Papunya Community. Her work shows the influence of her brother and uncle in its bold colour and line.

Regarded as a strong leader in the community cultural life of Kintore, Yuyuya Nampitjinpa began her art career at the painting camps held at Haasts Bluff. Subsequently she painted in earnest for Papunya Tula Artists in the late 1990s.
