His parents are from Kuku Yualantji near Cape Bedford, north of Cairns.
Roy has been painting since he was 12 years old, one of eight children, has spent time painting with renowned artists Clifford Possum, Malcolm Nelson Jagamarra, Roslyn Kemp, Vicky Skeen & has spent five years painting & exhibiting his artworks in Arizona.
