DescriptionDuring the 1930s Arnott's produced a series of biscuit tins, shaped as beach buckets and colourfully illustrated with popular images of the seaside. This biscuit tin is decorated with a beach scene showing children in swimsuits playing with a small boat, an inflatable toy, beach buckets and a surfboard.HistoryFrom the early 1900s the Arnott's biscuit factory produced colourfully illustrated biscuit tins to promote their product. In the 1930s a series of tins in the shape of children's beach buckets were manufactured.SignificanceThis is a rare example of a beach bucket shaped biscuit tin produced by Arnott's Homebush factory during the 1930s.
