The third image is of South Brisbane Cemetery and Fairfield. It is taken from up above the flooded Brisbane River and shows submerged trees and buildings on the opposite bank of the river. Written in the bottom left corner is 'SB Cemetery' and bottom right 'PC Poulsen'.
The bottom image is of a large number of men working standing between wooden frames on the building site of the Queensland Treasury Building. It depicts stage two of the Elizabeth Street extension of the construction which was completed in 1893. In the background is a building with the words 'Gray's Boot' and 'bookmaker' written on it. Gray's Boot Warehouse opened in George Street, Brisbane, in 1844.

He opened his own studio at no 7 Queen Street in 1885 and later opened branches, run by his brothers in other Queensland towns. Poulsen vigorously advertised constant improvements and modernisation in his studio and in the service he provided. His sons and grandson followed in his footsteps.
SignificanceThe images present an excellent documentation of the swollen Brisbane River, streetscapes of Brisbane in flood, and damage to the waterfront and shipping.
