Original plan of the ship built by Gourlay Bros. & Co. of Dundee for an Australian ship owner.HistoryBuilt for Huddart Parker Company at Dunbarton and launched 1902. She spent a number of years on the Melbourne-Hobart-New Zealand route before she was sold to China-Australia Mail SS Co., Sydney, in 1918.Significance"Huddart Parker was one of the most popular fleets associated with the Australian trade. The growth of the company is closely allied with the development of the Commonwealth and New Zealand, and its history carries on back to the early days of Victoria and New South Wales.
