DescriptionA Queenscliff Boardriders Club sticker inscribed 'QBC sucks'.History"Queenscliff Boardriders Club was established from humble beginnings in 1978 and has been at the forefront of club surfing in Australia ever since. The QBC mission statement reads " To nurture and enhance the competitive levels of all our surfers while providing a friendly and family orientated environment for all our members". The club has been the breeding ground of world-class surfers such as Rob Bain, Merrick Davis, Ryan Alagich and Kingsley Looker, and current World Qualifying Series chargers Sam Page, Nick Riley and Luke Cheadle. QBC is the only club within Australia to have won The Quicksilver Surfleague National Series, Jim Beam National Surftag Series, Milo Gromtag Series and Globe Pro Junior Teams Challenge. Put simply, we surf to win!! For over ten years QBC has had in excess of 100 financial members annually .Members compete in 7 categories – A-Grade, B-Grade, Under 18’s, Under 14’s, Women’s, Jnr Womens and Over 45's (held four times per year). Social Membership is also offered. Contests are held on the first Saturday of each month from February to December and if a contest is postponed it is held on the following Saturday. Presentation Nights are held bi-monthly after the contests with trophies and prizes awarded to our monthly category winners."
