It is used on the route from Gladstone, Queensland to Bluff, New Zealand and Bunbury, Western Australia to Bell Bay, Tasmania. On 25 March 1985 ALLTRANS grounded on the coast of Lady Musgrave Island as it travelled from Gladstone, Queensland to Bluff, New Zealand. The ship was refloated and repaired.
