DescriptionLetter and newspaper clipping regarding the divorce of Mr Eckhoff, a crew member of the SS FEDERAL. The letter was written by Isabella Eckhoff, the mother of the deceased, who states that the allowance destined to Mr Eckhoff’s widow should not be given to her as they had been separated for over three years and there was a pending divorce request. Underneath Mrs Eckhoff’s signature, there is a note with different handwriting that explains that after reading the letter and having known Mrs Eckhoff for a while, the statements are recognised as true. The newspaper clipping contains information about the scheduling of the divorce suit Eckhoff vs Eckhoff.
