DescriptionCaricature of a waterside worker 'Ron the Roaster' (a waterside worker who talked too much) by Harry Reade.
The cut-out drawing was produced for the Waterside Workers Federation Film Unit and designed to be used in a partially animated film entitled, 'Four's a Crowd'.History'Four's A Crowd' is a 14 minute black and white film that is a mix of live action and animation featuring four different 'types' of wharf workers. Waterside workers were often criticised in the media and Waterside Workers Federation members were often portrayed in the worst light and being too willing to strike. Other characters in the film include 'Tiddly Pete', 'Nickaway Ned' and 'Glass Arm Harry'.
